One of PRC Building Services recent projects was the roof replacement of the Dianella Library for the City of Stirling in Perth WA.
These works ran during April/May 2014 and were completed in conjunction with other contractors working at the site. This meant that PRC Building Services had to carefully schedule the project and manage the project. The project took 4 weeks to complete. For 2 out of the 4 weeks the Library was fully operational.
The project involved the removal of old 1970’s façade and roof cladding and was replaced with a new hidden fix roofing system on the lower pitched area and a new corrugated colorbond cladding on all visible areas. This finish gave the building a new lease of life and a much improved aesthetic value.
To rule out safety concerns the project required full scaffold around the perimeter. A specifically engineered counter levered scaffold design was also installed which allowed us to gain access to an otherwise inaccessible work area.
Members of the community and council made comment on the quality of workmanship, being very impressed with the work undertaken and the manner in which it was conducted.
These works were completed on time and budget.
