Fremantle Ports mast climbers

Fremantle Ports – This premier project used commercial mast climbers never used in the Southern Hemisphere before.

The Fremantle Ports bulk shed was one of our premier projects due to its complexity and height of the building.

PRC Building Services Pty Ltd had to remove roof sheeting that was badly rusted and unsafe to walk on.

We needed to engineer a platform which was 20m x 20m to access the roof area using two commercial mast climbers. This was the first time this was achieved in the Southern Hemisphere. We invited Worksafe and several other government agencies to inspect and view the project and they were impressed with our safety standards and solutions.

By engineering the platform, all risk associated with working on a 40m roof was removed and our workers did not even have to walk on the roof.

We are proud of this project and the solution we devised. The project was completed on time and on budget, with zero safety incidents and zero down time.
