TUL1 Port Hedland Shutdown Assistance
Mid 2015, PRC completed works to enable a Company to complete a scheduled maintenance shutdown for the purpose of dropping a crane hook through for rail change outs.
PRC works included cutting back, removing the existing roof sheeting over two bays; either side of the ridge vent to allow access, plus the removal of the purlins and ridge vent inclusive of two bays.
Once the area was cut out, the Main Contractor was able to complete the Rail change outs to schedule.
PRC then installed new roof sheeting, safety wire and ridge vent to the two bays removed to cyclonic standards.
Due to these works being located on a mine site, PRC adhered to strict ‘Safety Guidelines’ and worked closely with the Main Contractor to achieve a good outcome.
